i also am in the middle of reading "brave new world" which is very good.

it is unseasonably warm, a fact which no doubt i will be obliged to comment on with several of the passengers in my taxicab this evening. personally i'd much rather just cuss a lot, but if one wants a large tip one must behave as the very model of decorum. unless of course the passenger is drunk. in which case i'll do whatever i damn well please. and they'll love it, no matter what it is. yes, it appears as though i'm a hit with the drunks. but then again, aren't we all?
